Project #2
For project #2 we were tasked to articulate our own personal perspective on the impact of modern technology on human behavior and potential while including and synthesizing the writing from two of the writers we discussed throughout this course. For this project, I used the work of Kevin Kelly and Sherry Turkle, along with my own opinions, to argue that the internet is beneficial in the sense that the boundless knowledge it hold has increased human efficiency and connectivity. However, a reliance and devotion to our relationship with the internet limits our potential as it is causing us to lose characteristics that make us uniquely human, such as out intelligence and ability to connect with others.
